The High Priestess- A Journey through the Major Arcana

There she is! My girl! The High Priestess! With the moon at her feet and sacred knowledge and wisdom in her hands she sits upon a throne in a blue robe the flows waters. She represents the Divine Feminine, our intuition and our ability to use it to connect with the deepest parts of ourselves. As we navigate through the Major Arcana The High Priestess arrives to remind us to pay attention to our gut feelings and to listen to the voice of reason that comes up when dealing with our day to day lives.

How many times have you failed to listen to your intuition? How many times have you felt compelled to do something but allowed for fear and doubt to creep in which eventually stopped you from doing the thing? If you're anything like me, then the answer is way too many! Now is the time for you to step up and do exactly what Spirit has been telling you to do. We've learned last week while focusing on the energy of the Magician that Spirit has equipped us with all of the things we need to walk boldly into our destiny, and the High Priestess has arrived to encourage us to take a step back and use the secret knowledge that we have attained to derive a plan to move forward.

Don't be afraid to be vulnerable, allow yourself to expressive, open and caring to those around you. The High Priestess is nurturing! She's the granny that has all of the family secrets, recipes and stories that keep her family alive and thriving and that part of her lives in us all! She's calm, yet powerful! She knows when to speak up and also knows when to listen and be observant.

This week I feel pulled by the High Priestess to remind myself to listen to that still inner voice that guides me along this spiritual journey. Myself being a Gemini which is ruled by the planet Mercury makes me a deep thinker, a communicator that is always running through thoughts in my head. The High Priestess energy is asking me to sit back, meditate and tap into my inner most FEELINGS!! Dig deep! Allow for them emotions to flow like the oceans waters! I'll never forget a quote that I read from a book called "Egyptian Yoga" by Muata B. Ashby that said "Emotions make great servants, put poor masters". I've never forgotten this quote because it has constantly reminded me to allow my emotions to serve me and not be ruled by them. Remember The High Priestess sits between two pillars which represent balance and ability to move and work with both light and darkness. We have the ability to use our intuition and emotions as a guiding force that will help us gain more insight, wisdom and power as we continue on this spiritual journey.
